Retreat Venue
The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University has been hosting international retreats in India for over twenty-five years. The retreat venue, The ‘Academy for a Better World’ (also known as ‘Gyan Sarovar’ – the Lake of Knowledge) is a large, attractive, purpose-built campus set in the spectacular Aravali Mountains of Rajasthan. It has conference facilities, a large auditorium, seminar rooms, dining rooms, shops and a small hospital/dispensary. The accommodation is simple but comfortable and there are lush gardens and places for walking and quiet reflection.
HOW TO GET TO GYAN SAROVAR
Arrival airport: Ahmedabad, Gujurat, India
It is recommended that you fly into Ahmedabad International Airport. Your guide will help you arrange local transport from the airport to Gyan Sarovar. For a safe and hassle-free arrival, it is recommended that you take the transport (either private bus or taxis) arranged by your guide in conjunction with the Meditation Centre in Ahmedabad.
Description of the journey from Ahmedabad to Mount Abu
The journey from Ahmedabad to the foot of the mountain is about 4 to 5 hours through the highways of India, and another 30 to 45 minutes from the foot of Mount Abu to Gyan Sarovar, up a long spiraling road. The retreat campus is nestled on Mount Abu which is the highest peak in Aravalli Range of Rajasthan, Mount Abu.
